MEETINGS & EVENTS – 2025/2026
General meetings are now held at morning meetings with locally, well-known members of our community following an Affordable Housing theme this year. Meetings are held usually the 3rd or 4th Thursday of each month excluding December, June through August. General Meetings start at 10:00 AM at Meadowbrook Seniors followed by invited speakers at 10:30 PM.
- September 26, 2025 – Planning Meeting at Member’s Home
- October 30, 2025 – Lunch Meeting at Salt Spring Wild Cider – Special Guest Speaker, Alicia Herbert, president of IWAV (Islanders Working Against Violence) talked about IWAV Norton Road Affordable Housing Project.
- November 27,2025 – Guest Harry Barnes talked about GISRA (Gulf Islands Seniors Residence Association) affordable housing project Meadowlane.
- February 19, 2026 – Guest Janis Gauthier spoke of the important need for affordable housing on SSI.
- March 7 – Saturday 2:00 PM film screening at the Salt Spring Island Public Library “The Nest” to commemorate International Women’s Day
